What is the best paper for printing coloring pages?

Plain 20 lb (75 gsm) copy paper is fine for crayons and colored pencils. For markers or watercolor, use 28–32 lb (105–120 gsm) paper or light cardstock so the color does not bleed through.

Crayons and colored pencils: any everyday printer paper works. A slightly heavier sheet (24 lb / 90 gsm) feels nicer and survives eraser use better.

Markers: thin paper soaks up marker ink and can bleed onto the table. 28–32 lb paper or 65 lb cardstock holds up much better. Put a spare sheet underneath either way.

Paint and watercolor: use cardstock (65–110 lb). Inkjet printers handle it well; check that your printer has a straight-through or rear feed for thicker sheets.
